About Us

With more than 150 resident members and over 1,200 alumni, the University of the Philippines Chemical Engineering Society, Inc. (UP KEM) remains one of the largest socio-academic organizations recognized by the university and a constant recipient of several awards and grants. It continues to fortify its connections with chemical engineering and chemistry students from different universities through its affiliate organizations: Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers-Junior Chapter Luzon (PIChE-JCL) and Philippine Association of Chemistry Students, Inc. (PACS).


The UP Chemical Engineering Society, Inc., a premier student organization in the College of Engineering promotes academic excellence, holistic development, and prime professionalism by rendering services to the college, the university, and the country – through various projects and campaigns, by fostering camaraderie among its members and alumni, and by strengthening its ties with chemical engineering institutions and professionals.


The UP Chemical Engineering Society, Inc. shall build a community of students who pursue knowledge and learning, in order to produce competent chemical engineers who are productive members of the nation.
